1. GF/CF: Certain brands of foods are not allowed on the GF/CF diet if they contain any amount of gluten or casein.
2. SCD™: Any food listed as allowed is not allowed if it contains any added starch or sugar. For more information on the SCD, click here.
3. BED: The BED is not an exclusion diet, so nothing is “illegal” with the exception of sugars and sugary foods and hydrogenated oils, however they recommend certain foods as particularly healing and which should be eaten preferentially over other foods.
*The 80/20 rule indicates that meals should be 80% alkaline-forming foods (such as vegetables and certain grains) and 20% of a meal should consist of acid-forming foods (including meats). For more information on the BED, click here.
